Terms & Conditions
The terms that govern the working relationship between Obsidian Studio and its clients.
Last updated: March 2026
These terms govern the working relationship between Obsidian Studio and any client who commissions design or development work. By proceeding with a project you are agreeing to these terms.
Projects are scoped to one of three defined tiers — Foundation (£1,200), Studio (£2,500), or Definitive (£5,000). The agreed tier and scope are confirmed in writing before any work begins. Any work outside the agreed scope is subject to a separate estimate.
A 50% deposit is required before work commences. The remaining 50% is due on completion, prior to final files or site launch being delivered. All payments are due within 7 days of invoice.
Each project includes two rounds of revisions within the agreed scope. Additional revision rounds are charged at £75 per hour.
Project timelines are agreed at the outset. Delays caused by late feedback or content from the client may affect the delivery date. Obsidian Studio will always communicate any changes to the timeline promptly.
On receipt of final payment, full intellectual property rights for the completed design pass to the client. Obsidian Studio retains the right to display the work in its portfolio.
If a project is cancelled by the client after work has commenced, the deposit is non-refundable. If cancelled by Obsidian Studio, any deposit paid will be returned in full.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
